I believe that I can now call myself a writer.

My work includes novels, the latest ‘Diva’ is published this year, screenplays (I wrote the hit ITV/PBS series ‘Victoria’) and journalism. In a former life I was an award winning TV Producer who created, among other things, the long running Channel 4 show, ‘Grand Designs’.

I always find myself writing about women grappling with their destiny - whether it’s Queen Victoria being a teenage queen, or Maria Callas choosing between her voice and the life beyond it.

Writing can be a lonely business, so it’s always good to hear from readers.
